This web-site is based on experiences and lessons learned after more than 40 years of endurance training. Without getting stuck in details, here is my story, the short version.

Ulf Bohman, 63 with a great family. Began my running career when I was 17. Ran Stockholm Marathon a few times, trained like crazy, went to the US, was aiming to run Boston Marathon under 2:30 - finished in 2:42, iron deficiency, stress fractures. Academic degree in nutrition, worked with nutrition and health. Biked across Europe. Started with triathlon during the second half of the 80:s, but never more than half-Ironmans. Sat on the board of Swedish Triathlon Federation. Wrote books and articles about nutrition, exercise, lifestyle and wellness. Skiing, randonne, mountains, outdoors, trailrun, lived in Åre, Sweden. Two kids (boys). Worked with nature and stress, leadership training, rowed with Telia managers on lake Ottsjön. Headed up EU projects, wrote the first Guide to Silence. Started IT/health business, did not survive the dotcom bubble. Ended up partly in the United States again. Continued  to train but without competing. Two more kids (girls). Restarted my racing career after 50. Moved back to Åre. Started with triathlon again, rediscovered how incredibly fun it is. My first Ironman in 2015, Canada. Now up to 9 full Ironman distance races, four of which where in the extreme category. Maybe the most amazing was Norseman 2019. racereport here. The last one Hispaman 2021 + some random ultramarathons. Injury problems over the last few years, now solved with a hip replacement. Next goal Swissman 2026.
